Tips for Festival Visits

Plan ahead for the best festival darshan experience

Arrive Early

During Navratri, temple gates open as early as 4:00 AM. Arriving before dawn ensures shorter wait times and a more peaceful darshan experience. Morning hours are generally less crowded than evenings.

Expect 2-4 Hour Queues

Major festivals attract lakhs of devotees. Be prepared for waiting times of 2 to 4 hours during peak festival days. Carry water and stay hydrated. Weekday visits during festivals tend to be slightly less crowded.

Follow the Dress Code

Please dress modestly and respectfully. Traditional Indian attire is preferred. Avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and revealing clothing. Footwear must be removed before entering the temple premises.
